Still Negative

So, I have been testing every morning since day 7. On day 6 I tested at night to confirm the HCG was out of my system, I got a negative. On days 7 and 8, I tested in the morning and got slight positives. I was so excited on day 7 until I realized it was fading on day 8. Definitely was leftover HCG from my trigger shot. Today is day 10 past ovulation, if I ovulated on Saturday. If I ovulated on Sunday then today is day 9. Very negative this morning.

TWW

I'm officially in the two week wait. I also joined the TWW club online. Fascinating stuff. If you haven't been there before http://www.twoweekwait.com/community/index.php everything you could possibly need while you are waiting. People post pictures of their tests and compare charts. Unbelieveable. We tested last night with a dollar store test to make sure there are not any HcG reminents left in my system. There are not. We were very negative. So, tomorrow morning I will start testing daily. Also, FYI dollar store tests are really much better than I thought. I kept reading about them online and talking to friends that say they are good. It was so much better than I thought it was going to be. I can't imagine ever buying expensive ones again. Maybe just to confirm a BFP if I were to get one :)

19 mm & trigger!

19.6 mm on Friday and they filled my Ovidril for Friday night. We did the injection around 5:30 and waited anxiously. No real temperature increases on Saturday or Sunday so I am hoping to notice a change tomorrow morning. I had some mild nausea yesterday that lasted most of the afternoon and evening. Who knows!?!?

HOORAY!!!!!!

16.7 mm!!!!!!!!! Yay!!! I finally left the office feeling GOOD for once. So, she said that they look really good. I have several others that are big, but not quite there yet. My nurse Tracy said that I could assume they will grow about 2mm per day which would put my trigger shot on Friday and then the IUI (if we opt to do it) would have to be Saturday, which is kind of early. The other option was to come in and get checked again on Friday to see if they have made it all the way since last time they stalled out. I made an appointment (of course) to check them again on Friday, why not?? Then, if they are big enough, I will ask her if I can wait to take the shot on Saturday and then I can schedule an IUI on Monday, I don't have work! The timing would be perfect. We will have to wait and see. Hopefully, more good news will come on Friday!

Tomorrow...

Tomorrow is the big day. Say a little prayer, dance around your room, think happy thoughts...whatever way you choose! Hopefully there are some BIG follicles. Okay, let's not get carried away. Wish me luck!

Not feeling so good.

I wish Wednesday would come sooner. I just want to know what is going on in there! I am not feeling very hopeful today. I haven't felt many twinges or much action at all. Every one keeps telling me that I'm not myself today. Sorry, what can I do? I mean really?

Amazing Video

Found this out in blogland.

Random thought...

Just remembered something that Dr. T said. He said that if this round of clomid doesn't work then we are done with clomid because my ovaries are too stubborn. Then he said, "it seems that the follicles have stalled out. They could be exhausted." REALLY!?!? Exhausted from what! They haven't even begun to start doing their job! Oh my...

History...

We always knew that we wanted kids. Most of our friends thought that we would be the first of the married couples to have them. We decided to wait a couple of years. We finally decided that it was time to stop preventing pregnancy and when it happens we would be ready. Well, I stoped the pill and it was over 3 months before I got a period. Then, I got it a few times in one month. Completely sick of what was going on, I threw the towel in and went to the doctor. After numerous blood tests my doctor decided to do an ultrasound. "Very polycystic" were her exact words. We tried a round of clomid through my regular obgyn office. I do NOT recommend this. It is completely unmonitored. Well, it did not work. My progesterone level came back 0.4 There were NO signs of ovulation. So, I made an appointment for a reproductive endicrinologist. Now we currently see Dr. T. Dr. T has been great from the start. He is very supportive of both of us and always has something positive to say. We need that. Now at his office, after numerous additional tests including a 2 hour glucose test he started me on 100 mg of clomid. This is twice the strength of my previous round. 100 mg on day 13 only made a few smaller follicles. The largest was 11mm. At that point he gave me 150 mgs of clomid to boost them. I am waiting for my next ultrasound to see if they have grown at all.

About Me

I've been married for 3 years. My husband and I have two dogs. We built our dream home and are waiting to fill the empty rooms! We are learning that getting pregnant is not nearly as easy as we thought it would be. I'm 25 and was recently diagnosed with PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome). I don't have any of the classic signs with the exception of my "very polycystic" ovaries that I keep hearing about! Follow us on our journey as we are refusing to be infertile!
